Melinda grew up in Germany as a missionary kid, graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and German, and lived and worked in Alabama as a Kindergarten teacher. In 2011, she moved to Maryland when her husband became the pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church.

Melinda has always had a passion and love for dogs, but when she, her husband and three children committed to a new breed, a Belgian Malinois, she went in search of formal training. The Morgan family found K9 Heeling and Melinda knew from the first moment she entered the building and met Mitch,
that she was in the right place. After being a client for four years, Melinda officially joined the K9 team in March of 2024. K9 Heeling is a place where she
gets to use her love of teaching, people, and most of all her love for taking care of dogs. Without a doubt, Melinda’s greatest passion at K9 Heeling is making sure every boarding dog feels at home and receives the best care possible!

 

In her free time, Melinda enjoys spending time with her family and church family. She loves everything outdoors, especially walking her dog, Kenna, and camping on the beach. She has homeschooled all three of her children, teaches English as a second language and serves as the youth and worship leader at Immanuel Baptist Church.
