Planning a staycation for your furry friend? At K9 Heeling, we pride ourselves on providing a "home away from home" for your beloved pup. To ensure they have the most comfortable and enjoyable experience possible, here is the ultimate packing list for your dog’s boarding stay!
Packing Essentials
1. Food
A consistent diet is key to your dog’s well-being, so be sure to pack enough of their regular food for the entire stay. Here at K9 Heeling, we offer our client's the use of our in-house food (VeRus) as an option as long as the dog doesn't have any allergies or sensitivities so check with your boarding facility to see what they offer!
2. Medications & Supplements
If your dog is on any medications or supplements, pack them in their original containers along with clear instructions. The facilities trained staff should ensure your pup gets their required doses on schedule.
3. Collar & Leash
Even though we provide a secure environment, it’s always helpful to bring your dog’s own collar and leash for easy handling during check-in and check-out.
4. Favorite Bed or Blanket
Most facilities allow you to bring in a familiar bed or blanket which can provide comfort and help your pup feel at ease in their new surroundings. Here at K9 Heeling, we offer Kuranda Dog Beds in kennels to ensure a comfy rest area.
5. Updated Vaccination Records
For the safety of all guests, any well run boarding facility will require and ensure all dog's have up-to-date vaccination records. Make sure your pup is current on required vaccinations!
6. Emergency Contact Information
Ensure your guest account portal is up to date with this pertinent info as it's important to have an emergency contact (besides yourself) in case of unforeseen situations where the facility would need to reach someone.
7. Special Instructions
If your dog has any special quirks, routines, or preferences, let them know! The more details given, the better the facility can personalize their stay.

Here at K9 Heeling, we offer enrichment activities such as stuffed kongs or snuffle mats, nature walks, 1 on 1 cuddle or play-time or even the opportunity during the weekdays to engage in our Dog DayCare to give that "extra" love while they are here.
